#16 | | is that wat u call tapped | absalutely right... its hard to believe but people ARE paid to sit on their computer all day and SEARCH for email adresses. Those of you who sign up for random things on the web, click those "congratulations, you are a winner" pop ups or unders, and post email adresses on forums, ever notice your email fill up with spam a whole lot more?? This is exactly why. Not posting your email addess ( as well as other confidential information ), is just a safety procaution for yourself. Nobody likes or even WANTS to spam!

#19 | | Super Guy! | I am also extremely suspicious of those "send this page to your friend" links on some sites. I have four email addresses, and one of them never received a single spam until one of my friends had a web site send me some "add yourself to my birthday calendar" thing. I assume that since some of these sites don't have ads on their site, they must generate revenue somehow, and I know spammers pay for email lists.....

#21 | | Elf Knows IT | I never trust the web bases spam filters, Half your normal emails end up in there aswell, I prefer to have a completely clean inbox/junk folder.

I try and decifer what's junk and delete before opening and report it as SPAM thru work... | As long as they don't get the email bounced back to them, they generally assume it's a valid address. It's hard to do anything about them, I just use a spam filter and do my best to check it for any good emails that slipped through.
