#1 | | Member | I know that it seems wierd to be asking this but I am in a real hard spot right now. Recently got "layed off" from my job and cant seem to get another job, I've posted my resume on so many websites and havnt got a call back yet. I am having trouble paying my car payment, my mom is covering my rent until I can get another job, but she cant help me with my car. I am behind 3 months which equils about 1,200. I need my car to get to and from interviews, and to help with my job search. My bank is not very understanding and is trying to take my car, if I can pay them back by the end of this month I get to keep my car. (I dont even want to know what this is going to do to my credit), Does anyone know where I can get a quick 1,200, please post it here and any donations would be very helpful, I am currently selling all the crap around my house that I dont need but that isnt much. Thanks a bunch!

#8 | | Lucky | FYI in my (humble) opinion, gambling is NOT the way to make quick money... never go into a gamble thinking you're going to win. That's a recipe for disaster.

I agree gamling is a bad way to try and make money, but if that ends up being the last resort, I'd try it.

Gambling might be the worst possible way to make money, pluse you have to have money to gamble in the first place. | | |

#14 | | IT Professional, The Mod! | You better not have bought the car in Pa or I might be the one who comes and get it! lol
Ok, here's what you need to do:
1. Call the bank and explain the situation to them. If they fail to co-operate, ask to speak to the supervisor, or his/her suporvisor.
2. Ask to set up a payment plan for the arreares, and understand, this is not easy! It may take a while
3. Pay them as much as you can and pay the rest off on the new payment plan.
Being a repossessor, a lot of people are pissed off at me and I tell them all the same thing (If their car isn't going to auction). You can also pay the collection agent the money owed (Beware! Repo fee's run $500 - $1000 for banks and it WILL be tacked on!). If your car is repo'd, you will be responsable for the entier payment STILL owed on the vehicle, plus the repo fee.)
Good luck at gathering up the money (and don't hide the car, fee's go up!)
