ATT in Orange County/Los Angeles

I currently have Nextel and it really sucks in Orange County/Los Angeles area. I'm thinking of switching to ATT, cause they seem to have the most reasonable rates and the 30-day "return policy" seems pretty reasonable.

I had two questions.

1) How is the Internet service for ATT? I use my Nextel internet A LOT for things like mapquest, AIM, ESPN, yellow pages, News, stock quotes, checking my hotmail and yahoo email.

2) And, more importantly, how is the reception in Orange County and Los Angeles County?

2. Reception? Also depends on your phone if it's GSM (Horrible), TDMA (Better).
