Sticky? Yes. Can they make us feel like one? That is the question. So far they have not. We are on the outside looking in, and i don't ever see it changing. I am sure in due time they will offer something to the AT&T people, but by that time the damage will be done and i am sure a lot of us will be looking to another provider.

SO today, i went to the old "At&t" which is a Cingular store, and had a long chat with the manager. He told me the 5.99 insurance i pay a month was for coverage if i lost the phone, which also includes a 50 dollar detuctable. Thats Bull**** first off...i should of known. Then he told me about how Cingular uses a 64K sim card which allows better service than the 24K that i have in my At&t. I would also have a 175 penalty for breach of contract. He said that "yes" they are trying to push all At&T customers to Cingular, and that all i can do is wait it out or pay the penalty. My contract ends April of 2006. Unfortunately, I have 1000 minutes, free nites and weekends, blah blah, and pay 39.99 but it comes out to like 50.00 usually. Verizon's plan has 1000 minutes , but for 59.99. The next incriment is 39.99 with only 450 minutes. I'm pretty much F*cked. Let me know what you guys think.

you could go to t-mobile, which is gsm and they have a promo for 1000 min, free n+w, and free long distance and roaming for 45.99 in some markets, and 39.99 in others, but it runs out end of the month, unless they extend it again. And Cingular honestly doesnt make an extra effort for ATT customer (or any effort at all to anyone for that matter) so paying that $18 fee to switch is the only thing some people can do and cingular knows that. They know that if you need a phone that the only people you can run to is them, and thats when they get you, unless of course you know about unlocked phones and where to get em!

Not to mention that some people had better service when it was att rather than cingular

I wanna say that Verizon has the best service. I saw this from most of my friends. I am in this stupid hole with AtT and Cingular. Advice for new comers, don't sign with cingular, go to T-mobile or Verizon. Thats all i have for now. regrets...

I am interested in this also. Did you have any contract termination fees?
