Can you please help with this.
I bought a cingular branded phone recently and got it unlocked and activated with T-mobile. Now for any issues with the phone, which of the these should help me? T-mobile or Cingular. I called cingular but since they cannot pull up my account, they did not help me, but said I should take it up with motorola directly. But motorola help means sending the phone to them and being without a phone for who know how long! If the provider takes care of this, I believe they give a loaner phone or sometimes just provide a replacement. T-mobile reps, should I take this up with t-mobile?

well, to tell you the truth, neither will really help you too much,m t-mobile will do some troubleshooting since you are their customer not cingular's, but since its not a t-mobile phone they won't guarantee everything to work. Your best bet is to ask around here in the forums about whatever problems you need, but remember, as far as damaging your phone or trying to get it repaired will be next to impossible through either t-mobile (since its not their phone) or cingular (since you aren't their customer).

I'm in the same boat, using a cingular 6230 with my t-mobile service, and as far as internet, mms, email settings t-mo will help, but other than that its tough. Oh, and remember, non-t-mobile phones usually can't download any ringers, games, or wallpapers, from their site, just a FYI
