    I heard from a sales rep and customer service that cingular uses t-mobile cell sites if needed. Does t-mobile use cingular sites?

    We used to use T-mobiles towers as well as ATT's...but a while back (atleast in our market) we completely cut T-Mobile off pending the ATT buyout (they claimed it had nothing to do with the buyout). All the GSM carriers had an agreement earlier in the USA's GSM days to use eachothers networks since GSM wasn't very built out yet...to benefit all of our customers. But now that we have a substantial GSM network layout, we have cut them out of our roaming agreements. I'm pretty sure we have roaming agreements with a few small regional GSM carriers in areas where service is weaker...but now that we own ATT wireless, theres only one big GSM carrier in the US...so it wouldn't make sense for us to have roaming agreements with T-mobile anymore...it would benefit them and really just hurt us by making their service better while not really making much difference to us.
    The Progression: Nokia 5165 --> Moto v120t --> Moto V60ti --> samsung s307 --> Moto V400 --> Blackberry 6280 --> Sony Z500a --> Nokia 6230 --> Nokia 6820

    I'm almost as addicted to Cell phones as i am to VW's. Almost.
