I've been a Cingular Prepaid customer for about a year and a half now, and I've been satisfied with the service overall. However, a major problem I have is with Cingular's website. It's hard for me to find what I need on their website. When I first got my phone, as soon as I found an appropriate link for adding funds, I bookmarked it straight away. However, it didn't have any information about auto-pay, although the main prepaid page says you can go into your account to set auto-pay options. In order to activate auto-pay, I had to find another page. The link to it happened to be buried on an information page for Pay As You Go service. I had already added $25 to my account via the page without the link to activate auto-pay, so once I found the auto-pay link and applied, I was charged an additional $25. Last night, I discovered my bank had sent me a new credit card, so I activated it and started changing it at the sites I purchase from the most. I decided to change the credit card number for the auto-pay service. I clicked the button to edit my selection and went through the process, only to find that ANOTHER $25 had been charged to my new credit card. I had only wanted to change my credit card number. I hadn't planned to add more funds at the same time. Is there a way I can change my payment method in the future without adding funds? Would changing the default payment method be enough? Perhaps I'd have to call Cingular's Customer Service instead? It would be nice if Cingular would do more to make their website more functional and user-friendly, or maybe it's just me. Perhaps I'm not as web-savvy as I thought...
