I'm planning to buy a Samsung D500 phone with cingular wireless service. The D500 is only available outside the US and it is a triband phone with 800, 1800 and 1900. I know that the US uses 850 and 1800. Will my reception suffer with cingular service? If any of you have expereinces with imported phones, can you tell me what I can expect in terms of service? THank you very much.

your not gonna have a problem if you getting a tri-band phone.
i have nokia 6610 from saudi arabia and the phone work here with no problem.
    here are the frequency.
    900mhz (asia) 1800mhz (europe) 850/1900 (u.s and canada)
800mhz is the old frequency use by asia.
