hello. you all probably get this too much, but i dropped my motorola v551 in warm water today at work. it was only submerged for about 2 seconds when i got it back out. it was working fine from what i could tell for a few minutes (i got no reception in there anyway). then it shut off. i turned it back on and it gave me a screen saying to connect the USB data cable. so i turned it off and took off the battery and made sure the SIM card was dry and then when it looked dry i put everything back in and turned it on. it got better over time (the phone itself stays on, the volume came back and the screen stopped fogging) but i get no reception at all. and when i plug it into the charger it says it is unable to charge. and also the outside display just shows "cingular" no matter what. i'm still letting it dry out but is there anything i can do to help it out or is it a lost cause already? thank you in advance for any help you guys provide.

the thing is that u waited a while after u dropped it to air it out.. u should have taken it apart and wiped it down rite away.. by leaving that time space in there the water could have soaked into other areas and/or corroded and rusted sum of the parts.. try looking at your parts and check to see if they are dirty, rusted, or corroded and try wiping them down.. worst comes to worst.. if you want to send your phone to me, i can take a look at it and if nothing can be done i will offer you money for your damaged phone.
