My Moto v60i is dying and I don't want to re-up. How can I buy a new phone cheap (on-line?) and just transfer the cincular plan to this new or used phone? I only have 5 months to go and then will be switching family plan to another carrier

well, if you buy a phone through cingular they will, more than likely, be extending your contract for a year, or 2, so if you plan on switching, then don't buy a phone from them. Try to find a cheap unlocked phone or cingular phone to use for the remainder of your contract, you can do this online, ebay, or if there is a local store in your area that sells phones w/out contracts, then you can do that as well! Good luck!

My statements and views are exactly that, my own, they do not reflect the views or statements from T-Mobile or any company i talk about.

    ----T-Mobile - Blackberry - Ringtone - AT&T - Cingular - Nokia EX-Mod ----

    My sites -
MMF Ringtones (phone browser only) - tagtag.com/kinjutsu - no longer updated, Still active!
MP3 Ringtones (with Tooldef6) - geocities.com/dj_mystik2001Down indefinitely I need to get back into my CPF flow again before i relaunch it!

This isn't exactly the best idea, but sometimes you can get the Cingular stores to repair or replace your older phone if you bring it into a Cingular store. I just did it with my Dad's phone without problems.

If that doesn't work for you be sure to listen to Vidguy11. If you are planning on switching don't buy a new phone from Cingular because they will want to renew your contract. You should be able to get an unlocked phone off eBay or something and just transfer your SIM card to the new phone.
