Hi, I am new to this forum and from this thread I read, you seem to know what you are talking about. I just got denied to become a premier agent on Long Island for Cingular because they thought my town can't handle the 120 activations required per month. I have a store and everything. The question is what do I do now? Go as a subagent to a masteragent, wouldn't they give you less commission and benefits then Cingular directly? What are the pros and cons of becoming a subagent? Is there another alternative? Can you give me a list of masteragents I can call in the ny city or long island area? Thanks a lot, any help is appreciated? Also did they stop giving out verizon contracts in NY city and Long Island?

What kind of store do you currently have? Most of the carriers are trying not to sign more agents that are not 100% wireless.

The store is currently empty. It is a new lease. I will only be a 100% wireless store. Do you have any answers to my questions I posted, thanks.

Verizon is only looking for exclusive agents. There are lots of master agents in NY. Email me your phone number and I will give you a call. I'm in NY also.

Usually, as a subagent your residuals will go to your host - that is the major loss. That is a down side, but at the same time, the way the pay structure is organized, you will get paid more for each activation because it usually goes by the # of activations total from all stores under the same owner. It will bump you up to a higher tier of business. Not sure if this is how it works everywhere.... and of course the contract you negotiate may be different (better or worse...)

What does CPF stand for? Also, could you explain residuals in further detail?

I emailed you. Is anyone else here a masteragent as well?
