I currently have a Motorola V180. It has sim card in it and it is Cingular service. I found my dads old Verizon Audiovox 8900 and i would like to switch that to my plan. Is there anyway to do this without paying any money? My friends dad just unlocked his phone for him but i don't know how he did it. I've already asked him to do it but he can't start doing that stuff for everyone and their mother's.
Thank you, F.B.I.
Edit: The phone does not have SIM, i have taken the whole freakin thing apart to only be disapointed.

Has to cause my friend won a sprint phone at an auction and he has T-Mobile. His dad unlocked his and now it works without a hitch. Could someone still give me a code to unlock the Audiovox. I could let my friends dad toy around with it.

A Sprint phone WILL NOT work on T-Mobile's network, Sprint is CDMA, T-Mobile is GSM, not compatable...

Still, you cannot used a Verizon phone on T-Mobile's network, same rule applies, CDMA & GSM are not compatable...

As your your Verizon phone:
You can unlock it, BUT IT STILL WILL NOT WORK. Verizon = CDMA, Cingular = GSM. It won't work.....It won't work.....It won't work......................................

Are verizon's phones even locked? I was under the impression that with CDMA the phone transmits the ESN to the tower, and tower decides whether or not to allow the phone on the network.
