I was a 7 year ATT TDMA network before the merge, within the last month my phone has started losing services, it keeps changing to ROAM and I lose phone calls everytime it does that and the phone starts cutting out bad. I'm also losing signal in and out.

I'm in the same area I have been in the past 7 years (VA/MD/DC) metro area and it basically does it everywhere here, not just one place.

Contacted Cingular and I'm being told differnet things:

    1) its my phone
    2) its the trees and the buildings I'm in (LOL)
    3) Cingular is getting rid of TDMA towers and I should sign a new contract for Cingular

I dont' see this being my phone or the area, I'm leaning more towards them getting rid of TDMA and forcing people to switch....anyone else experiencing anything like this?

I'm also getting my text and voice mails late, sometimes up to 24 hrs..

    TIA

I know they are getting rid of TDMA, and they are converting all the towers over to Orange and slowly eliminating the Blue. What probably happened is they decommissioned/converted most of the towers in that area and you're now noticing the effects. Switching to Cingular may not be a bad idea, but you may want to wait until after the first and the (supposed) new rate plans.
