hey everyone. my mom and my step dad both have verizon and their contract isn't up till march. my step-dad's phone just died and the cheapest verizon phone without renewing the contract is $179 and the early termination is $150 or something like that. They both want to get over to cingular as soon as possible so we were thinking to just pay the fee and switch. I tried looking on eBay for a cheap verizon phone but couldn't find anything that cheap.

My step-dad is a contractor/carpender so he needs a pretty sturdy phone. Does anyone know what Cingular phone is the most sturdy but still a reasonable price?

We need to get this cleared up pretty quickly so if you have any suggestions please share them with me.

    Thanks,
    Superman!

edit: Oh, i forgot to mention. He would rather have a flip phone although i know in general they arent as sturdy. He wants one that's small enough to fit comfortably in his pocket

The v180 or the v551 would be good choices imo...

theres people using this to get new phones free then cancel their contracts and sell the phones on ebay. hope you use your powers for good.

Re: What's a good, sturdy Cingular Phone?

If you want a durable phone, you might look at one without an external display, I cracked the external display to my Z500A when I smashed a video game controller into my phone.
