I have a trip to Europe coming up and I was wondering if anyone had any trouble using a Cingular phone over there. I do have a GSM worldphone so I don't anticipate a problem.

as long as you have an international calling plan there shouldn't be a problem...

I signed up for one for while I'm over there so I'm hoping not too have too much trouble. I may also just buy a new sim card from a service over there (probably Vodafone) and save a little more

Ok sure just make sure your phone is unlocked if you want to use a different carrier's sim card....have a safe trip.

yeah, my phone was unlocked and I just stuck with cingular. No problems to report. It's expensive but my business paid for it.
i did pop in a friend's vodaphone sim and, obviously, it worked fine too.
