    Hi all,
I need advice on cell phones & plan coverage, so I was not sure exactly which forum to post this question to.
I live in N.Y.C. currently, but am planning to relocate to Tucson, AZ next year. In the process I need to get a cell phone (my first) and I need advice.
I'm going to need a phone & service carrier that is reliable enough to hold up regionaly...and I'm leaning towards Cingular because everyone I know who is on Cingular says they're great.
I just need reliability for phone calls back and forth from NY to AZ since this phone will ultimately be my only phone, and I don't want to worry about dropped calls and other common problems.
So my question is...which carrier..and which type of phone would people reccomend? I don't need "bells & whistles"...camera phones are nice, but not necessary. Reliability is.
    Thanks,
    Amy B.

Amy.... before you jump in - do you know anyone in Tucson who specifically says Cingular is great? I'm not bashing them in any way - just that a carrier that is great in one area might be nonexistent in another (There is NO Cingular service where I live for example)

    Great point!

I love Cingular. My whole family is on it. Great coverage where I live.

Unfortunately, I have NO service when I visit my parents. There are no GSM carriers in the area.

Take Jeanie's advice. Check out the coverage. Especially if it's your only phone.

    Nic
