I got a Motorola V173 GoPhone with the Pay As You Go flat $.25/minute plan yesterday. However, I have had no success disabling the call forwarding feature (which I neither want or need), even after completely following the directions at this page:
http://www.cingular.com/customer_ser...all_forwarding
I go to Settings>Call Forward>Voice Calls, and at that point there's two options: "All Calls" and "If Unavailable". Under the "All Calls" one, the option is Off according to the Status screen. However, under the "If Unavailable" one, even after selecting Off (and having it say it was done successfully) this is what shows up under the Status screen:
If No Answer
On
+1214XXXXXXX (voice mail number)
If Unreachable
On
+1214XXXXXXX
If Busy
On
+1214XXXXXXX
Even if I just go to Settings>Call Forward screen and hit Cancel All, it does not change the above lines from On to Off. I tried turning the phone off and calling it from my land line, and received the voice mail message anyway (and another $.25 disappeared).
Am I missing something terribly obvious, or is there an issue with my phone, or has anyone else had this problem? Thanks.
