I went to the cingular store the other day and they said the SLVR would be coming out for cingular in the near future. I dunno if this is true or which model it will be. can anybody verify this?

no like this:
chirp: 'where you at?'
chirp: 'by the dairy. why?'
chirp: 'get some milk.'
chirp: 'what?'
chirp: 'milk. over'
chirp: 'oh, milk. are we out?'
chirp: 'i think so. do we need eggs?'
in the meantime, i'm getting a headache from all the unnecessary yelling. why do ptt users feel the need to scream into the handset? and then their volume is so loud that the person talking can hear themself when it relays to the other person.
i'm very anti ptt! like you can't tell.

The only reason I even have PPT is because the phones we chose when we last upgraded had the capability. It actually turned out to be a pretty good service for my needs. I like to go hiking in the desert hills outside the Phoenix Metro area. In alot of those areas where I can't receive a call normally due to lack of reception, I can still PTT!"Evil will always triumph because good is dumb."

i know. it serves a purpose. i just don't think a supermarket, store, or the like is the place.
i know lots of truck/delivery drivers who utilize them daily. that makes sense.
but the above conversation is heard every time you go shopping, and it gets old!
even more annoying is when a guest in your house is using the ptt while everyone is hanging out. a guy did that once and i wanted to smash the phone. lol

probably, but it's not the chirping that bothers me. although that is annoying, the conversations are the worst!

I've been going back and forth between the question that the SLVR has PTT or if it doesn't. Check out my other thread, hopefully someone has activated a SLVR with PTT...
