I went to a Cingular dealer and he said I would have medium to light coverage at my house... where I use my cell a lot. Does anyone have medium/light (I'm guessing 2 - 3 bars) and find that is enough coverage? I am used to 5 bars at home because my current provider has like 12 cell towers about 500 feet from my house. I would continue with the provider... 600 minutes with 2 phones free long distance, CA roaming for $40 a month... but my phone is getting old and weak... time for an upgrade.

    Thanks.

if you're happy with your provider, and are not liking the phone, why not just replace the phone?

you may find that alternative much more to your liking.

The company I have (Cellular One) is very local and have not kept up with technology.... i.e. no good phones to choose from.

You should be fine when it comes to reception. You never know, your reception could actually be a lot better if you simply try it. You can buy the phone, go to your house to check the reception, make a few calls, & then return it if it doesn't meet your standards.
