Finally, checked Cingular's web site under my account, a new balance is posted, and it says "due immediately"

Re: Anyone get their monthly bill yet?
This I DO know as a Cingular blue customer. They have shortened the length of time to pay the amt due before charging late fees. My account runs from the 5th-4th. I have gotten my statement in the mail as late as the 19th with a due date of the 26th (on the bill stated due immediately, CS gave me the true due date). So they can take 2 wks to get my bill to me and only allow me a week to have my payment to them by date due. YOU are ultimately responsible for getting your bill paid on time, regardless of the circumstances, but an empathetic CSR might credit you a late fee if you approach the situation with tact. One month, I used my online banking to pay my bill, making allowances for the (up to) 2 day transmission. I was assessed a late fee by Cingular, and when I called to discuss it, was told by the rep that they hadn't processed it until the 2nd, which was 6 days after they rec'd it. I told her the date I paid, informed her that that I was on time with the 2 day transmission allowance and had a confirmation number, and that if I and my bank got payment to them by the due date, I was not liable for the delay in Cingular's processing of those funds and politely demanded the late fee be dismissed. Now I pay by phone with a live rep on the due date after checking my account online. NEVER had billing issues with AT&T and they didn't assess late fees unless your payment was not rec'd by the end of the next billing cycle, and my statement usually got to me a week after the end of the end of my billing cycle. Has anybody else noticed the squeeze?

Re: Anyone get their monthly bill yet?
You have a right and responsibility to know when immediately transforms to past due, as in a specific date. You shouldn't be left to guess or wonder. Your auto insurance is darned specific and leaves no room for guessing. Your payment isn't to them by due date, your coverage is lapsed. Period. Immediately a psychological bullying and a consumer unfriendly tactic.

Re: Anyone get their monthly bill yet?
This whole billing thing is due to a merger, correct?
I like the way you think eddy... even big business should be allowed growing pains so long as they aren't hurting customers

Re: Anyone get their monthly bill yet?
This should have been fixed. We had a couple of bill cycles that weren't generating bills. You're due date has been moved out and all past due fees have been credited back (past dues are autogenerated so had to be credited back).
As for the Pay Immediately.. We apologize for the phrase. Again, it's a something that's autogenerated on all past due accounts ( even though you are technically not past due cause you didn't get a bill).
Hope that this made sense!
