I went on line and looked at the bill there too and I don't understand if the phone number it is charging is say 222.222.2222 why does the incoming call show the phone number as 222.222.2222 instead of what number was really called?
Am I just missing something? I called cingular and they gave me the run around and could not tell me. Can someone explain it to me?

I'm not understanding really what you're talking about. Take a picture of the bill.

Oh...I don't want to post the phone numbers out in the world. Suffice it to say that those incoming calls appear as the same number that the phone is. Dialed numbers are listed. Why don't some of the incoming calls show the number espeially those calls to members on the family plan?

Call Cingular again, maybe this time you get a rep who has a clue...if not, ask to speak with a supervisor. Cingular offers detailed billing...I know this because I am with Cingular (blue side) and the past 2 bills have listed ALL ph #'s--incoming and outgoing for all 3 phones on my account. I never use call forwarding, but I wonder if the other person can set call forwarding number to, say, 2222222222, call their own number from another phone, it gets forwarded to a user on your family plan, they see their own number on display and take the call knowing who it is and circumvent the details of the billing that way? Maybe you can test my theory with a willing friend, then see what it looks like on the bill online. In otherwords, I set my call forwarding number to your number. I call my own number from another phone...landline, phonebooth, willing accomplices phone. Your phone rings, displays its own number, and you know it's me calling you. You talk for a minute or two, note the time, then check online account to see how it is detailed.

Re: What is this bill from cingular telling me?
Okay..... let me see if I understand this correctly..... on your detailed billing, for some of your calls, the number shown as the calling number is your number instead of the number of the person that called you.....correct?
An example......
04/04/06 4:02pm 972-444-3456 4mins 25secs
& let's say you're number is 972-444-3456......
Okay, this means that either someone called you with their number blocked or their number was not transmitted when the call was sent to your cell phone.
