Reactivating an expired Pre Paid account

I am from the UK, and last year a purchased a Cingular go phone preactivated sim from Ebay for use on vacation in the US. The the air time has now expired. I am back in the US later this month, to use the sim is it just a matter of adding air time or will the account need to be reactivated. I was in the US last july the airtime expired august 05.

You will need to reactivate your account, if Cingular still lets you. You might have to get a new number with a new sim card, you'll just need to either go into a local dealer or call Cingular Go Phone CS at 800-901-9878 and find out.

So much easier in the UK, air time does not expire on most net works. and on the one where it still does to re activate your account you just add air time. Plus, pre pay sims are for sale in most phone shops i belive in the US sims are not sold on their own only with a phone package. (unless through unoficial channels like Ebay).

I work at a indirect Cingular dealer and a customer actually can come in and just purchase a activated sim card without buying a phone. It does stink that that prepaid accounts automatically de-activate once you let it expire.
