I have a cingular phone plan- I have met the contract time and would like to keep it month to month now, therefore I do not want to get a new phone through Cingular and have to sign up for another 2 yr contract. However my phone, a Sony Ericsson, is getting very poor quality reception and is not staying charged. I know we have a nice little sim card in it that can be removed and placed in another phone---how do I know what phones would be compatible so I can find a new phone? And what else should I know about activation etc?

Any information you can provide would be most appreciated.

    Thanks!

    Chris

Basically, slap your SIM into any Cingular phone and you're good to go.

An "unlocked" T-Mobile phone will work as well, but if you use the web or send messages, you'll have to configure the settings.

Nose around in the FS/T forum. There always seems to be Cingular phones floating around.

That's why we're here. Feel free to ask more questions. It's better to research your purchase than have to return it when it doesn't work.
