New Phone Issue

well not exactly an issue with a new phone, just an issue with getting the new phone that i want.

I like the Sanyo Katana, but it seems they only offer that to Sprint PCS. I currently have Cingular. Cingular has a horrible selection to choose from. Anywho, would it be possible to use the phone on Cingular, if i took it to the store so they can do whatever they need to do with it? Or would I have to switch to Sprint PCS?

NO sprint phone can not be used on cingular because they don't use sim cards so they can't be unlocked to work with cingular from my knowledge.

sprint is cdma and cingualr is gsm, totally diffetent tecnologies
