Unlocked phones and downloading

I purchased a RAZR V3i that was unlocked off eBay. I have Cingular as my service provider. The phone works GREAT, but I am not able to use my browser to gain access to their "extras" site to download ringtones and games. Is their anything that I can do to download games and stuff? I am not able to browse anywhere. Can a phone be "locked" once it is unlocked? Thanks

Hi there tyger2000, welcome to CPF! I found this thread in the "New Members" section and moved it over to Cingular. I'm no expert in the Cingular dept, but I believe your problem will be easily resolved by changing your WAP settings. Check out the Cingular Configurator for the correct settings, or check back later on this thread to see if the Cingular folks have added any of their infinite knowledge to my 'generic response'.

I have still not been able to connect with my browser. I love the phone, it looks and works great! I just can't connect and download games! I have a cable that I use and with this phone I can create my own ringtones with any mp3 song. I carry a lot of photos of my family and friends also so that is great to. I just wish I could download a game or two! Thanks

I bought the Maroon colored V3i with iTunes today. I hope it gets here in a hurry. I'm looking for software to load of the Big 12 conference. Thanks for the information.
