Sorry if this has been asked dozens or hundreds of times, but I have searched around the site a little and it seems to be just generalized information, not what I'm looking for.
Basically I was looking at the Sony Ericsson K750i, but I want to know if there are any better phones out there. Like I said, i have a $250 shipped budget. I already have a plan, and all I need is a phone that's either unlocked or compatible with cingular's service.
I really don't think I'd mind a slider, flip phone, solid-state phone, or even a pda phone. Pretty much anything goes. No pink phones though
Thanks guys.

I just received my new Motorola V3i today with a Maroon finish and iTunes. WOW !!! Super nice and only $232 shipped. Bought off Ebay as a buy it now item. I am also with Cingular. I really like mine, but I know a flip isn't everyones choice. fanexe_unlimited is who I purchased from. Bought it Friday and received it today, VERY quick shipment.

I'm trying to stay away from razrs, rokrs, and slvrs (and any variant like the L2 or L3 or whatever just came out, can't remember). Everyone has em and I really don't like the style.

First thing you should do is decide on the carrier. Then look at their phones. Signing a new contract will give a better price break on phones. I would also go to phone scoop and do a search for phones using the features you want, that will tell what is available, and give you an idea of the prices you are likely to pay.

You hve to remember that the K750i doesn't have 850Mhz, so that might be an issue in your area. However, it's a little hard to beat what the K750i has to offer. If you can spend a little bit more, I'd invest on a W810i.
