I have a V3i that I would like to have locked to Cingular. How do I go about getting this done? I presently have a contract with Cingular, I just bought a new unlocked phone.

Re: Cingular contract with Unlocked phone
Does it matter if its unlocked? I mean if its unlocked then it should work with any service provider. I really don't think they care what phone you use because all they want is money.

Re: Cingular contract with Unlocked phone
I think the OP wants it branded to Cingular for warranty issues if the phone breaks down in any way. If it becomes defective, the person can just say that he/she bought it from Cingular and would like replcement. Plus it's easy because the internet and MMS settings are already installed.
Just have the firmware flashed to the Cingular version if ther is one available. I'm not sure because I'm not really Moto person.
