In my opinion... The phone is well worth 99.99... I believe Cingular sells refurbs for 79.99 also but if you found it new for 99.99, I'd pay the extra 20 bucks.
Someone has told me that it is compitable with wm6 also...

and can you buy the refurbed one on cingular.com for 79.99 without a plan?

$250 seems to be the going rate on EBAY for the 8125. Maybe you would consider a T-Mobile SDA (HTC Tornado). It lacks a touchscreen and keyboard but it is a smartphone, it's very small and has WI-FI and a good battery life. You could probably score an unlocked SDA for around $125-150.
