Its just a name change. Cingular's parent company SBC bought at&t landline service. and changed its (SBC) name to at&t because its a more reconizable name and they are changing Cingular's name to at&t for the came reason.

yep yep, it's just the name change, nothing else should be inturrupted or anything...it's just business.....lol

in my market when cingular bought att they didnt get them here....all att customers were passed on to altell (which is cdma) so altell MADE them switch to new phones or cut their service....
So, AT&t is not a popular name in this market

i miss cingular already i work at AT&T and they hella cut our pay
