#6 | | Elf Knows IT | Avant just uses the IE engine from what i can see anyway, so i dont see the point in using it.

#10 | | Junior Member | I like Avant because when your computer crashes or you close the window, you can open the last windows you were viewing. Also, when you have more than one open window, and you minimize the browser, it only shows one tab in your task bar. Plus it shows the nifty little icon (which ever they have it set to) next to the address.
I have never used anything other than the plain ol' IE browser and Avant.
EDIT: Wow!! I just got the new IE. I think I like it. Thank you for sharing.

#13 | | Sr. Member | You should add Netscape too. It's one of the first browsers. America online is another one for Mac Os

#14 | | Newbie | Well
Rule of thumb
It's always the one u get used to that is your favorite
Try others while comparing features you like about your favorite browser
Then judge accordingly
I've tried lots of those including avant opera firefox MyIe IE safari
Not all but I'm using maxthon for its ease of use, skins, plugins, collector of text, multi tabs, resuming last visited pages, groups of favorite sites, mouse gestures and lots more
All those features can not be found in one simple 2.5 mb browser like it.

Granted I overload the tabs on a regular basis, but still.
Regardless... it's better than IE7. I don't think anything could make me go back to IE.
