Anyone into overclocking?

overclocking is easy once you research it. Some of the newer Nforce 4 motherboards and stuff have alot of different settings which can seem confusing. My biggest problem is the divider settings as I ain't good with math.

many ATI grafx cards have overclock feature, and can be setup automatically, for example on the ATI catalyst program you set up enable overclock, and the card itself overclocks until reaching a peak temp, once in that temp it stays there, if it gets any hotter it slows down a bit to cool off.

I set OC on my 9800XT and works great, specially if I have the Artic Cooling fan installed.

slowly start on your bios settings..bump up the fsb...do some stabitlity test..bump it again..if it fails, bump up the volts...something like that

I'm overclocking my Pentium D 945 3.4ghz to 3.81ghz

It's really easy, just get into the BIOS and look for the settings to change it.. i had to mess around with it for about 20 minutes to get it perfect, and make sure its stable

Shall I overclock my 1.8ghz pc, I think not

I am overclocking my 2.8ghz Pentium D. SO far on stock voltages I have gotten to 3.5 with no hiccups. I can probably go higher, but I will wait for my new video card (comes tommorrow!!)

Then again, I have a watercooled PC so yea. Lets see if I can hit the 4ghz mark!
