    Yes that would be the best thing to do... Move the monitor closer so you dont have to pay for an extention cable.

    I'm using an HP 8510w with a docking station and an external monitor (Samsung 206BW). I am having no lucking getting the 1680x1050 resolution displayed on the external monitor in twinview clone mode - max options are 640x480 in nvidia-settings.

    Anyone have a working xorg they can paste in here?
