Talk about air... This thing is light... apple switch all my contacts, bookmarks, mail program over to my Air Book from my G4, or I should say copied. My iTunes was switch for my iPhone and iPad syncing updates and App backups, I can longer use the G4 for Syncing which is good since the Air Book is the latest OS, my G4 can no longer be updated, it went as far as it can go, I needed Dual Core intel with Snow Lepoard and be ready for LION OS.

This Air Book is fast....... really fast, and if your on the go a lot, you'll appreciate the word AIR. I had to buy a external super drive (79$) because it doesn't have one in it, and iWork (29$) which is cheaper at the time of computer purchase. I also purchase a Ethernet adapter for when wireless isn't available, I had that happen with my iPad, no wireless in a room only in a lobby, but Ethernet only in the room, the adapter was a few dollars.

on your AirBook.. go to Menu (Apple icon on menu bar)

click on.. About This Mac...

Click on... More Info...

click on Serial-ATA... and see if your Apple SSD is SM128C...that's the suped-up Model... the SSD TS128C is the older version.

The MacBook air looks really nice. It is great that apple used flash storage on this product because it made it quieter and faster than it's predecessor. I currently have the 2.4GHz 4GB of memory, 250GB 2010 model. At the time I bought this, I was debating whether to get the air or not, but I decided to go with this one because I figured I would want the extra speed.

i looking forward to the new air books coming out soon, i think i may get a new 11 inch instead or the ipad 3... not sure yet.

Whichever one you go with I think you will be happy. Apple makes quality products, that explains why I have a Mac, iPad 2 and an iPhone 4. I think the new air will come out a few months before the iPad 3, but who knows. I expected the new iPhone to be announced this year at WWDC and it wasn't, so anything can happen.

I just got the 2011 Macbook Air 13" i5/128gb model when it came out! It's such a beast of a machine and it handles all the tools I need for work. When I compare it to the Pro, the Pro just doesn't stand a chance unless you don't mind carrying that extra weight. I know that some people just tell the ones that complain to bulk up so they don't complain about the weight, but I'm going to be in college in a month so the portability is definitely a godsend.

Checkout a handy feature for college; in Lion on Safari Browser page, you'll see a pair of Glasses (Icon) on the Bookmark bar top left, click on it and check out the feature.
