Earlier we reported how the HP TouchPad was not a hot seller and how Best Buy wanted HP to take back the TouchPads and give them a refund. Now, comes news from HP that the HP TouchPads as well as the webOS phones will be discontinued.

Below is a statement from HP:

HP reported that it plans to announce that it will discontinue operations for webOS devices, specifically the TouchPad and webOS phones. HP will continue to explore options to optimize the value of webOS software going forward.

    that was probably a good idea considering apple dominates of 90% of the market!

    There is no problem in that. HP is out for business and making profit. If they realised that the product is not making profit, is better to withdraw from kits production and focus on other areas.
