Telstra HTC Velocity 4G launching with Android 2.3 Gingerbread today ....Android 4.0 ICS update coming in a couple months

Today is the day when Telstra will launch the HTC Velocity 4G. The HTC Velocity 4G is Australia's first LTE smartphone and although it will first launch with Android 2.3 Gingerbread, Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich is just right around the corner for the device.

The HTC Velocity 4G should receive the Android 4.0 ICS update sometime in February or early part of March. Features of the HTC Velocity 4G include: a 4.5 inch qHD (960 x 540) display, Sense UI 3.5, 8MP rear camera, 1.3MP front-facing camera, 1.5GHz dual-core processor, and 1GB of RAM.
