A new HTC handset, Facebook-own branded device, may launch this year

It's been awhile since we've heard anything about a dedicated Facebook handset, and some of these handsets, such as the HTC Salsa and Motorola MotoKey Social, have already been launched.

These handsets, including the HTC ChaCha, have Facebook integration and the dedicated Facebook buttons, but the handset that is in the talks now, is supposedly be Facebook's first own-branded handset.

The Facebook phone is said to be manufactured by HTC, according to DigiTimes and is said to launch in Quarter 3 of this year. It should be and Android phone, but the Android version is still yet unknown but will have a "platform exclusive to Facebook to enable and integrate all functions available on the social networking site."
