Yesterday we've discussed a bit about the recent leaks suggesting that Verizon may be planning on launching a new slide-out / side-slider device called the LG Enact. The previous leaks have suggested that the handset should go on sale starting today, and it appears that the rumors were spot-on.

Today, Verizon has made the LG Enact official. The gadget is now available for purchase alongside a 2-year agreement at the price of $19.99, after a $50 online discount is applied. The off-contract price is set at $349.

What you'll get for that sum of money is 4.0 inch display with a resolution of 800 x 400 and Corning Gorilla Glass on top, a dual-core Snapdragon S4 Plus (MSM8930) dual-core processor clocked at 1.2 GHz, 8 GB of internal storage expandable by up to 64 GB via microSD, a 5 MP main camera complemented by a VGA front-facing sensor, Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean out of the box and a 2,460 mAh battery that should deliver up to 11 hours and 40 minutes of usage time, or up to 9 days of standby time.

As the previous leaks have suggested, the LG Enact features a full 5-row physical QWERTY keyboard underneath the display that slides out on a side. The handset is also 4G LTE-capable.

This is pretty much all there is to it folks. A QWERTY device is a rare sight nowadays, so I'm fairly sure that some of you will appreciate this particular release.
