Shortly after the Nokia Lumia 900
was launched on the market, users reported a few problems with the handset, the biggest and perhaps the most known issue being the fact that the screen turns purple in some cases, usually when the screen brightness is lowered. It took a bit longer than expected for Nokia to prepare a hotfix, but very recently the manufacturer announced that an update which will deal with the purple hue will soon be available for the AT&T Lumia 900 in the US.
Unfortunately the manufacture has not revealed an exact date on which the much-needed update will hit the waves, but fortunately the official announcement indicated that amongst the purple hue fix there will be other additional fixes as well, including the sensitivity for the proximity sensor being improved, and other minor adjustments and enhancements.
As for those using the international Nokia Lumia 900, the manufacturer will apparently address the purple hue problem in a different update which will be deployed in the future, hopefully sooner rather than later. Again, no ETA has been revealed.
