Verizon not taking participant in the Nokia Sept 5 event....but will still launch a Windows Phone 8 later this year

We reported earlier on this month, that Nokia would be holding a conference event on September 5, to discuss Nokia's Lumia brand Windows phone and possibly a new Windows Phone 8 device for Verizon. Unfortunately, Verizon will not be participating in this event, BUT...the carrier will still produce a Windows Phone 8 device, but later on in the year.

This event should help Nokia break its way through to potential customers, as Nokia seems to be having a hard time with their devices in the US.

We will keep you posted on the September 5 event in New York once we receive more info.
