Jelly Bean has become one of the main attractions of the summer and many Android users are now wondering: when will my phone receive Android 4.1? Well, as far as the Samsung Galaxy S2, S3 and the Galaxy Note goes, in case you own one of these handsets you might be in for a treat because the latest rumors indicate that Jelly Bean should be on its way and might hit the waves by the end of this year.
These latest rumors are still rumors at this point and nothing has been confirmed, but this information has surfaced from SamMobile, a Samsung fansite that made quite a few accurate calls when it came to Samsung-related updates.
The latest report includes information about the Samsung Galaxy S3 as well and according to this new information, the device in question has successfully passed the Jelly Bean testing phase. The Galaxy S3 is expected to receive the update during the late Q3-early Q4 timeslot.
As for the Galaxy S2 and the Galaxy Note, nothing is yet certain and it seems that Samsung is still considering whether or not Android 4.1 will be a viable option for this duo. The latest reports indicate that Samsung is clearly planning on bringing Jelly Bean on these two devices in the future, but unlike the situation with the Galaxy S3, the manufacturer is not yet 100% certain and their decision of updating the S2 and Note is not set in stone. However, if things go as intended then both the Galaxy S2 and the Note will receive Android 4.1 Jelly Bean during the 4th quarter of this year.
We hope that Samsung will give us some more concrete information regarding the matter. Until then, in case you're eager to experience Jelly Bean on the Galaxy S2, S3 or Note, you might want to consider looking for a decent Android 4.1 ROM as there are plenty out there already.
