Samsung has made it pretty clear that Android 4.1 will eventually arrive on their ex-flagship smartphone, -the Galaxy S2- and today we have the chance to take a sneak peek at what shapes up to be an official changelog.

To be more precise, every gadget enthusiast out there knows what to expect from Jelly Bean overall, but the news today is that Samsung Korea has just published a list of features expected to be available on the SGS2 once Android 4.1 arrives.

First things first, the update will not be deployed over the air and instead it will only be available through Samsung KIES software. The updating process will take around one hour simply because the setup will re-partition the entire memory system. Internal storage will also be reduced in the process.

As to what you can expect once this newer Android OS iteration lands on your Galaxy S2, first of all there's going to be a noticeable increase in performance and smoothness thanks to Project Butter running under the hood of Jelly Bean, and you'll also notice tons of new features and changes in the user interface.

For example, you'll benefit from applications such as Block mode, Easy mode, Pop-up Play, Smart Stay, and the camera application will also be improved in order to offer functions such as Pause while recording a video. The update will also include a few preloaded applications such as Google +, Play Book, Play Movie, +Talk and more.

All in all this is going to be a great release and the Galaxy S2 really deserves it. More than 20 million units have been sold worldwide and even to this day the SGS2 remains one of the best mid-range devices the market has to offer.

Unfortunately there's still no word on when exactly the update will be made available world-wide, but we expect things to get underway very soon.
