Great news for all the Samsung Galaxy S2 owners out there, as the Korean manufacturer has now started to roll-out the Android 4.1 update on the respective device. Indeed, after a few months of waiting for Samsung to make the move, Jelly Bean has finally reached the international Galaxy S2 (GT-I9100) and is now available for download, assuming that you reside in Spain.

The update itself is pretty large and it has been made available over-the-air and through KIES software, but whichever method you'll use you will benefit from the same goodies that we've all been eagerly waiting for. The changelog includes the new TouchWiz Nature UX user interface that has been introduced on the market ever since the Galaxy S3 got launched, a whole lot of new and improved TouchWiz widgets as well as a handful of applications and features that have been available on the latest high-end Samsung smartphones, such as Smart Stay, Direct Call, Pop-up Play, a new Lockscreen similar to the one on the SGS3 and a new notification bar featuring notification toggles.

In addition to these UI changes, Jelly Bean also introduces a few goodies of its own, such as Google Now and Project Butter which should increase battery life and make your device run much smoother than it did on Gingerbread or Ice Cream Sandwich.

Pretty good stuff, so we advise you to download and apply this latest update as soon as possible. In terms of availability, as mentioned above Android 4.1 has only hit the waves in Spain so unless you reside in that region you might have to wait a bit longer before you'll be able to download Jelly Bean on your SGS2. Hopefully Samsung will speed-up the roll-out process and the OTA release will expand on other markets sooner rather than later.

Feel free to write a comment below if you've already managed to download and apply the official Android 4.1 update.

Functions of Samsung is a little bit more complicated than that of iPhone. So I hope Samsung can make a change for the operation system so that more people can use them easily.
