North America could soon be seeing the
Sony Xperia tipo, as the device just been seen at the FCC Sunday. One clue that the Xperia Tipo may be headed to North America is by the model number, ST21a, in which the 'a' stands for America and the device has 1900/850 MHz WCDMA connectivity, perfect for AT&T's 3G network.
Whether or not we will ever get to see the Sony Xperia Tipo, here are the features that you can expect from the device: Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich, a 3.2 inch HVGA scratch-resistant display, Wi-Fi, GPS, 3.2MP rear camera, 800MHz processor, 512MB of RAM, 2.9GB of internal memory, MicroSD card support, and a 1,500 mAh battery.
As far as who will get to see the Sony Xperia Tipo first, that may be the UK, as the Xperia Tipo is expected to launch in August, SIM-free, for £134.98.
