Sprint is now taking pre-orders for the Kyocera Echo, which is the world’s first dual-touchscreen Android smartphone. The price of the Kyocera Echo will be 199.99 on a 2 year contract and after a $100 mail in rebate. Sprint plans on launching the Echo on April 17, but you can put your pre-order in now.

To take advantage of the Kyocera Echo's dual screens and to get the most out of the phone, a developer kit was made and released by Kyocera. The kit was created so that users can get full use of the apps in the Android Market.

The Kyocera Echo runs on Android 2.2 Froyo right now, but may require an update in the future to Android 2.3 due to the dual screens.
