Whether you are a long-time Windows Phone fan or you have just recently decided to give the new Windows Phone 8 platform a try, up until now your choices have been the Nokia Lumia 920 or the HTC 8X at AT&T.

However, in case the aforementioned carrier is not right up your alley then you should be glad to learn that Verizon has just launched the HTC Windows Phone 8X on their network.

The handset has a price of $199.99 alongside a 2-year contract with the carrier, and in case you wish to buy the unlocked model, the full retail price is set at $549.99.

Verizon's HTC Windows Phone 8X is offered in blue, red or black, but the blue and red models are accompanied by a note pointing out that they will be shipped by November 19th and 27th respectively, so unless you buy the black model, you might have to wait a bit longer before you'll get to enjoy your purchase.

In terms of hardware, the device sports an S-LCD2 4.3 inch display with a resolution of 720 x 1280 and a pixel density of 342 ppi, Corning Gorilla Glass 2, a Qualcomm MSM8960 Snapdragon dual-core Krait CPU clocked at 1.5 GHz, an Adreno 225 graphics chip, 1 GB of RAM, 16 GB of internal storage (non-expandable), an 8 MP camera on the back and a 2.1 MP sensor on the front, both of which take advantage of the ImageSense chip, Beats Audio on-board with an additional amplifier for larger headphones, NFC, 4G LTE connectivity and a 1,800 mAh battery to keep everything up and running.
