*After a 12 year sponsorship, Vodafone UK has announced that it is going to stop sponsoring the England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB). The current four year sponsorship agreement will conclude at the end of the Winter Tour of South Africa in January 2010.

The sponsorship began when Sir Chris Gent was Vodafone's CEO.
Ian Shepherd, Consumer Director, Vodafone UK, stated that they have enjoyed having a successful relationship with the ECB and the England Team in the last 12 years and thanked them for their continuing support..
