Default Assistance needed with phones that have been flashed to Cticket

I use the cricket network and need some "enlightening". I am new to this so bear with me.

I want to purchase a phone that has been flashed to cricket. I have heard a lot about flashing.

Is it a good idea to buy a fully flashed phone? I have located a company that sells the motorola razr V3M and they are fully flashed to cricket. I only use my phone for calls and once in a blue moon a text..I think I have sent 4 in 2 years. Nothing else really. Just a basic cell phone user.

ANY drawbacks to a fully flashed phone? Please

Looks like the flashed phone I want was either a verizon or t-mobile. Any problems flashing them to cricket?

Since Cricket is a CDMA carrier, only a phone from another CDMA carrier would work, if at all. Since you do not use the phone much, get a Cricket phone. Any Cricket phone would make voice calls or handle text messages.
