unlocking the sidekick 3

looking into buying a sidekick 3 i wanted to make sure it worked in canada
so i went to rogers and they told me the only company that will unlock it is fido
so today i brought my sidekick 3 into fido and they told me it wont work in canada, point blank, no explantion no exceptions
so i went to rogers to look at the blackberry pearl (reluctatnly) and the woman told me she knew a guy who could unlock it, but apparently the code hasnt been leaked yet so he cant
is there any other way i can unlock this phone?!?!?!

Even if you do find a way to unlock your SideKick, it wouldn't work outside of the U.S for anything other than a phone, and text messaging....The SK requires Danger servers that will only run off of TMobiles network.
You could try doing a google search for "SideKick unlock codes", and see what you come up with.

I'm sorry that I was unable to be of more assistance to you, but unlock discussions are against the rules here at CPF, hence the reason why I directed you to try doing a google search....

the only way i know how to unlock a sk3 is actually calling the company and telling them that someone sold you the phone although i never tried it outside of the us.. there is an unlock code but i dont know it by heart..
