Using the internet on Sidekick 2008 in Singapore

I've bought a Sidekick 2008 off someone in a forum. The phone's great, everything works well, I didn't even need to unlock the phone & text functions, but the internet & email didn't work. I was told that with a hypersim, I'll be able to unlock the internet on the phone. But even after I bought a couple and trying it out, nothing's worked.

I've definitely got GPRS, so there's no questions about the connectivity, and apparently, the phone was logging into the danger.com site to register (?) cuz my data usage has rocketed to $77 last month. But I still can't surf the net.

I've read over and over that there's no way the internet will work in Singapore on the Sidekick, but my seller's told me that it does work (though oddly vague & very elusively). There has to be a way. Anyone?

Hi Sidekick has to work with a Danger server (Danger is the manufacturer of Sidekick) for internet services. Hence your SIM card provider has to have the server coverage if not, it doesnt work, as you may have already read from the internet.

However anybody coming across this thread are interested to get a Sidekick in Singapore (tie with local telco), pls give this petition a go:

I've already created the petition, heh. search for starhub will be sufficient, my bad - search for "starhub sidekick" my petition doesnt come out .. think their search mechanism not so good. I want a sidekick so badly.

Yeah, I wanted one so badly too. Spent a bomb on this & now it don't work right. Sad, but still hanging in there. Think it might be a tough one getting them to bring in the phone, but I guess at this point no harm trying.

Starhub's on twitter too. Mayb we could DM @StarHubCares & see if something comes about.. Lol.
