Hi there,
I've heard that there is a code that can recover the last received sms
even if it was deleted. Can anyone help with this one please? I've got
Nokia 6310i with 02.
Regards
Jack

Sorry but this is incorrect, once a message is deleted that's it. Of
course someone will now prove me wrong ;-)

The data is still out there - it's just been deleted from the phone/sim
itself.
I'm fairly sure that legally all mobile networks have to keep a backup of
all data transfer for a minimum three year period, which means that all the
SMS messages sent and received are stored somewhere...

Very possibly, but you try getting them to give the info to you, unless
you're the police or MI5 or somebody...

Fortunately, I happen to be all three, so it's never really been an issue
for me.

Sometime when using Nokia Data Suite it will show and display messages that
have long been deleted.

Well yes, but they will have been stored on the PC. The OP wanted to know
if messages deleted on the phone can be retrieved.

Thanks a lot for your help. I found out that SMS that has been deleted
cannot be retrieved. Well, I was thinking that it must be stored
somehow in a phone or SIM memory and even if you select 'Erase'
(accidently as it was in my case) you don't actually "format" the part
of memory where this SMS was, but only "release" it. It must be
organized somehow else, otherwise it shouldn't be that difficult to
get deleted SMS back. I think that it would be a really good idea to
have something like a recycle bin on mobile phones. Anybody heard
about anything like that?
Thanks anyway for all your help once again,
Jack
